Good morning! Today’s post will link up to Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post, and Book Journey, for Weekly Updates.
**Mailbox Monday is now hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
Grab some coffee (or a pot of tea!), and let’s talk about our weeks. I had a slower reading week, but savored each book.
Fiona turned eighteen on Saturday…here is a photo of the birthday girl.
Last night, I watched a movie (DVD) that I had missed in the theater. It was truly awesome, IMO. St. Vincent, starring Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy, and Naomi Watts, reminded me once again why these actors are on my list of favorites.
Now I’m going to settle in to finish reading a book I started earlier. Here’s what I did last week….

That was my week, and what I am eagerly anticipating in the upcoming week. What did yours look like?

You have so many blogs…you get more done in a day than almost anyone else! Do you ever think about just having one blog? Lol…or would that be too boring? Imagine just being responsible for one blog…one post…one lonely little post a day…

At this point, there would be too much to lose…I couldn’t bring everything together in one site….LOL.
And yes, I might be bored. Thanks for stopping by, Patty.

Sometimes I don’t mind if it takes me longer to get through a book- if it’s good. Savoring isa good for it. And I do like the new headers- nice tweak.
Both The Day We Met and The Way Life Should Be sound good.

Thanks, Greg, and I am looking forward to both of these books, too. When I savor books, they seem to follow me afterwards for a while, which I enjoy. Glad you could stop by, and happy reading!

Thanks, Kimba, and after our spring-like weather last week, this one was a bit colder, but not like some of you have experienced. I hadn’t watched Bill Murray for a long time, so it was interesting. Happy reading!
Fiona is excited about the new adventures ahead as a young adult.

I had noticed St. Vincent in the theater, but I only see a select few there, and the rest when they come out on DVD. Thanks for stopping by, Jan, and Fiona is a happy girl. I guess I should say “young woman.” Enjoy your week.

Fiona is very cute and looks to be happy and self-confident (I believe I see this in her face). We were going to watch St Vincent but my husband wanted to watch Birdman. I hated it. I wonder if it is going to win everything tonight.

Yes, that one is from her backlist, Catherine, but I’m exploring favorite authors’ previous work and finding it great. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ve heard good things about Amherst.

I think I’m in the minority but I didn’t like Christina Baker-Kline’s simplistic view of Maine in her Orphan Train so I doubt I will read The Way Life Should Be (Maine’s motto) as it’s likely to feature more of her vision of my favorite state. I am way impressed with how much you read and blog though.

Oh, sorry about that, Barbara; I loved Orphan Train, but then again, I’m from California…LOL. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks, Yvonne, and I loved Melissa McCarthy even more in this movie than in some of her other recent ones. She had a vulnerability about her that reminded me of her days as Sookie on Gilmore Girls. Enjoy your week!

I’ve read a lot of Laura Lippman but not sure I’ve read that one (and am too lazy to look up Goodreads!!!) – yes I’m slack.
Keen to hear what you think of Second LIfe. I was a bit disappointed but I think it’s cos he set the bar so high with no. 1!!!
