  1. You’re right– a great week for you! I have a great week coming up as I usually buy a couple new releases at the beginning of the month, plus I got approved all in a bunch for my Netgalley requests. Night Night, The Sound of Glass, and The Daughter look so good to me, and Jane Porter is an occasional read for me for just plain fun so that one looks good also. Have a nice week, keep cool (I think our heatwave broke tonight, yay) and enjoy all that reading!

    1. Thanks, Rita, and I got a lot of NetGalley books in the beginning (nine), and now there has been nothing….which is probably good, since I need to finish four more of them. I enjoyed all of my books this week, except Wife-in-Law was a little disappointing at the end.

Enjoy your cooler days, too….I plan to stay home today and watch movies…and read.

  2. Oh, that drink looks nice. It’s almost winter here in Australia and finally starting to feel like it (though today is quite warm!). A big reading and reviewing week for you last week – well done! Hope this week is an enjoyable one.

    1. Thanks, Yvonne, and I plan to stay as cool as possible…I am finally using the air conditioning, but I hate how the PG&E sky-rockets in the summers! I do plan to enjoy the books and some movies today, too. Enjoy yours, and I’m glad you could stop by.

    1. Thanks, Daph, but I’m sure mine are only more orderly because I’ve been fussing with them lately. When I was working outside my home, I was lucky to even notice them! Glad you could stop by, and have a great week.

I wish it were hot here. It has been chilly working in the yard. I felt like I should have a yummy mint julep last night for the race, but we keep only a minimum of booze in our house, and I don;t have any mint these days.

    1. I read a mystery while sipping, but a beach read would be nice, wouldn’t it?

My first Kristina Riggle book was Keepsake, which was amazing, so I have been grabbing any I can find off her backlist. I am looking forward to this one.

Thanks for visiting, Elizabeth, and have a great week.

    1. Indeed it was, Kimba! And I had never heard of The Frog Prince until I was studying Porter’s backlist, and ogling her newest one, The Rumor….hope to enjoy both! Have a great week!

  5. It’s hot here too. I got up early and cleaned the pool and washed of the patio and front deck. Done with that for the day.
You have some wonderful books this week. Don’t you love it when you are on a roll and enjoy the books you’ve read!
I wouldn’t dream of showing my book shelves right now. I need a new large one and they are all just crammed every which way for now. Yours is lovely:)

    1. Thanks, Laura, but it took quite a bit of purging to get them to look good…LOL. I am contemplating removing some of the figurines from my living room shelves, but I actually enjoy looking at them! Enjoy your week.

  6. wow five books in the week – awesome. I thoroughly love the look of your purchases. I think I may have The Frog Prince – yet to read and want to read The Hurricane Sisters, and occasionally I read a Joanna Trollope book. Have a great week, enjoy that hot weather!

    1. I had forgotten about The Hurricane Sisters, which was on my radar when it first came out…glad I found it; and I hadn’t been aware of The Frog Prince.

Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn…and I enjoy a good Trollope book, too.

  7. Looks like a great chilled drink! And I like the book nook. Charming. Glad you thought The Sound of Glass was a 5 star read. Good to know! Enjoy your week. 🙂

  8. A chilled drink sounds like just the ticket for the weather here, too, which has suddenly turned from lovely 70 degrees into thick humidity. My most unfavorite kind of weather. How fun to arrange your books! I run out of space all too quickly.

    1. Thanks, Bellezza…and I don’t know if I could stand the high humidity…our heat is mostly dry. And yes, a chilled drink is just the ticket.

I added more bookshelves when I ran out of space, but I should probably have just started purging then…now I have three empty bookshelves in the garage, but I’m thinking they will work for displaying things when/if I do a garage sale!

  9. You certainly did have an awesome week.

Going to check out your reviews of Night, Night and The Sound of Glass. I LOVED The Sound of Glass. Night, Night was good too.

I want to read Bittersweet. I hope you like it.

As for the heat, we are having heat here too, but I am loving it after this freezing winter and chilly spring. I know it is still spring, but any heat is welcome. 🙂

ENJOY this week, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

You had a wonderfully busy week on your blog. I’ve got The Hurricane Sisters to read, although since I’m currently reading like a snail I doubt whether I’ll get to it any time soon lol. That drink looks like the perfect refresher for hot weather. Enjoy your new reads 🙂
