Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is now hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
The past two weeks have been full of family fun…and less reading and blogging. To give you a “taste” of some of that fun, here’s a shot from a fun-filled night at my daughter’s house, which we have dubbed Margarita Night. As a bartender by trade, along with her career as a stylist, Heather does the honors.
And now to my less-than-impressive week.
LAST WEEK ON THE BLOGS:
Tuesday Potpourri: Excerpts from The Murderer’s Daughter
Serendipitous Wednesdays: Waiting on “All Dressed in White”
Bookish Fridays: Excerpting “Freedom’s Child”
Shaking Up My Interior World: Enjoying the Changes (& Saturday Snapshots)
Review: Watermelon (e-book), by Marian Keyes
Review: Hour of Need (e-book), by Melinda Leigh
***
INCOMING BOOKS: (Titles/Covers Linked to Amazon)
I received one purchased book in my mailbox, and downloaded one e-book.
Go Set a Watchman, by Harper Lee ( I bought this in hardcover, to match my copy of To Kill a Mockingbird).

Remember Mia (e-book), by Alexandra Burt
***
WHAT’S UP NEXT? (Titles/Covers Linked to Amazon)
Here are some potential next reads:
Freedom’s Child, by Jax Miller (Amazon Vine)
***
The Murderer’s Daughter (e-book), by Jonathan Kellerman (NetGalley)

That’s what my week looked like. What’s up in your future? Enjoy….and have a cup of coffee!

I’ve got The Murderer’s Daughter as well and looking forward to getting to it. I don’t really drink spirits or cocktails other than margaritas (which I discovered accidentally when out for Mexican one night!). It looks like you’re having a great time!

Thanks, Greg, it has been a long overdue visit, but I am so delighted that it can be at least three months of time with them. I have to watch those Margarita Nights, though; they could become habit forming…LOL.
I love the Coca Cola set, too….collecting Coca Cola stuff started as a fun way to decorate my guest house when I lived in the foothills…and when I downsized, they seemed to fit perfectly in my smaller, quirky space.
Enjoy your week!

Oooh, margaritas. Those sound good, with as warm as it’s been here.
Six blog posts…and that’s a less-than-stellar week? I think most bloggers would be more than happy with that. Of course, I’m happy with one or two a week. 🙂
Even though I’m not reading Go Set A Watchman, I’m looking forward to see what others think of it. I’ll have to check out what you thought later.

Thanks, Bryan, and I guess when I am used to more posts and reviews, I feel that I have let myself down. But I am not sorry! No, the family time has been so precious.
I try to approach new books that have been hyped and written about in the media….with no expectations.
Enjoy your week!

Thanks for stopping by, Emma, and my son and my daughter had a difference of opinion on the perfect recipe….the ingredients include, of course, tequila, some Triple Sec, some Margarita mix, and some lemon juice (I think). This last bit was up for debate…LOL.
I, too, am a fan of Kellerman, even though I stopped for a while. Now I am catching up.

To me, you had the perfect week, part family time and part reading and daily life! Here’s to more of those days, cheers! I want to read all your books, lol. The Murderer’s Daughter, yes, from one of my fave authors. Also The Rumor, Freedom’s Child, and Finding Mia. Awesome finds for you, in my opinion.

Family time is great, but it sure does cut back on reading time! But the books will always be there, so soak up the family while you can.
I’ll be interested to see what you think of Go Set a Watchman. I haven’t read it (and probably won’t until I’ve read TKAM), but I’m interested in people’s reactions to what is, essentially, an early draft of the book that became TKAM.
Have a great week!
