Good morning!  Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is now hosted at the home site:  Mailbox Monday.

Another week of fun…and minimal reading and blogging.

Here are a couple of snapshots, enjoying the pool at my daughter’s house: (below:  Craig, Noah, Heather)

  1. So, I see you got your copy of Friday On My Mind. I just finished it yesterday. I’ll be interested in hearing what you think. It’s…well, I’m not going to tell you…it’s a little different. 😉

  2. Looks like you’re having a fantastic visit! Good for you… and that pool looks inviting. Pool time and then Netflix binging- sounds like fun! Enjoy your week. 🙂

    1. Private Practice! Yes, I saw the whole series when it was on TV, but I loved it and hated when it ended. Yeah, as my son says, “chick flick.” LOL

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your week.

  3. All of your books look so good. Friday On My Mind looks really good and I always love Elin Hilderbrand’s books…I’m dying to read The Rumor.

Have a great week! Looks like you are having a great summer!

I love that pool – the stepped down sides. I would love to have one but so far this year I would only have gone in 2 – 3 days. The cover on A Window Opens by Elisabeth Egan is appealing.

    1. I’ve never lived in a house with a pool…sigh. I once had a spa (in the house I owned for 13 years). There is a pool in the apartment complex, but I prefer my daughter’s. Thanks for stopping by, Stormi.

  5. The pool looks delicious! I like the look of Smoke so I am going to check out that a little more. I have It’s You to read and I look forward to it. Jane Porter writes a good story!

  6. We have been in the mood for movies this weekend too and watched My Idiot Brother, a comedy that was quite good. I have seen Smoke on several blogs and am now curious. Happy reading.

    1. I love movies…and, of course, Netflix. Watched an old DVD from the 90s last night (A Perfect Murder, with Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Viggo Mortensen).

      Thanks for visiting, Harvee!

  7. Oh nice, pool days! I remember At Risk from long ago — that was one of Hoffman’s earlier novels. It’s good, no magical realism in that one. Also the McKenzie “Smoke” novel looks ominous, does it not?! Fire is scary for Californians. Enjoy your week and books!

    1. I got At Risk for a 1.99 special, and it was one I had missed. I don’t like too much magic realism. Thanks for visiting, Susan, and I love the idea of Smoke, despite how scary it is for us Californians.

I love the beach — except not in the summer. As a red-head, I can’t take the sun. So, I like to visit the beach in the seasons when walking around all covered up doesn’t look so strange.

The cover of The Rumor does scream “Beach Read”, doesn’t it?

Sounds like you’ve got a lovely couple of weeks planned. Oh the pool looks so good! Enjoy the time with family and that beautiful weather … books and blog will wait for you lol. Spoilt for choice again with your reads, I like the look of Smoke, Losing Me and It’s You.

    1. This is my first real escape, Teddyree, and it is blissful. Last night, when I picked up my grandson for a sleepover, he brought his Monopoly game along and everyone played. This is the kid who is almost always glued to his X-box!

I am also looking forward to my books! Thanks for stopping by.

I’ve not yet read any of Elim Hildenbrand’s books and I really need to change that, especially since I own one. Lovely selection of books.

  11. Patty spoke so highly of A Window Opens that I also downloaded it from netgalley. It’ll be a few weeks before I get to it though. Have a wonderful time with the family – that’s worth giving up reading time 🙂

  12. It looks like you have a busy week ahead. Having family near is wonderful. I always thought a pool would be great, and it probably is, but I have learned from out son in AZ…they are lot of work. Hope you get some reading in…but have a great week no matter what.

    1. I don’t think I’ve read At Risk, but if I have, I guess I’ll realize it at some point! LOL It was definitely a long time ago, if I did.

Thanks for stopping by, Catherine, and enjoy your week, too.
