Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Sheila in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Journey.

Wow, what a week!  I think I have my reading mojo back, with four books read and reviewed…the mailbox had goodies…and I saw a fun movie today:  The Intern, with Robert DeNiro, Anne Hathaway, Rene Russo, etc.

And the Berliners are safely home…ready to pick up their normal lives again.  They are missed!

  1. Yay for 4 books- guess you do have your mojo back! Hope the movie was good- I haven’t seen a movie at the theater in a bit and I think it’s overdue. 🙂

    Enjoy your downtime

  3. So back to normal with all the visitors gone and happy memories stored. Love the covers of all the books. I have The Good Neighbor to read too and seen good reviews so coming to it with positiveness.

  4. Aw Forever, that book brings back memories! I still have my original copy somewhere, when I was a teenager it was one of the very few YA books around. Glad to hear the reading slump is gone! And that’s interesting that there is a prequel to Pretending to Dance, I didn’t know that but I’ll make sure I get both together.

    1. I wish I’d remembered about the prequel before reading Pretending to Dance, but I suspect that I will enjoy it just as much now. I didn’t read any of Blume’s YA when I was young…or even later. I did enjoy her adult books, so I’m looking forward to Forever. Thanks for stopping by, Trish.

  5. Wow, what a rebound – you sure did get your blogging and reading mojo back! I’m hoping to get my husband to the movies one night this week or next weekend. The Intern looks so good.

Just love the cover of A Place We Knew Well, but have read a couple of lukewarm reviews this week. I’ll look forward to your opinion… you’ve never steered me wrong!

I keep hesitating about that book, too…the one with the girl with the poofy hair…I am relaxing…my guests just left…we are putting the house back together and unwinding…the kitties had a bit of a rough time because my sister’s husband detests kitties.

    1. My recent obsession with Mad Men reminded me of that poofy hairstyle and how I didn’t really like it, primarily because my hair wouldn’t “poof” appropriately…LOL.

My copy of the book came with the ugly cover…sigh.

Sorry that your brother-in-law wasn’t happy with the cats…I know how tense that can be.

      Thanks for stopping by, Patty.

  7. A Place We Knew Well looks and sounds like a good one for one set in the 60s. I’m keeping it in mind. I saw the trailer for The Intern and it looked like a fun one indeed. Have a good reading week.

You had a busy week on your blog and reading. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Forever for Banned Books Week, it was one I considered reading. I bought Rainy Day Sisters a little while ago, really hope to get to it soon. Happy reading 🙂
