It is 1982, in Morrison Ridge, North Carolina, and Graham Arnette, his wife Nora, and their daughter Molly are just beginning to discover the limitations of Graham’s life with Multiple Sclerosis.
But Graham still dreams of dancing with Molly…and in this short prequel to Pretending to Dance: A Novel, we see how Graham finds a way to “feel the dance” with Molly via the zipline over the ridge.
The Dance Begins introduces the characters and draws the reader into their world. A poignant glimpse into what life was like for them before the later years, when the challenges would grow. 5 stars.
OOh just finished Pretending to Dance which I loved, but looks like this prequel not available to me now on Amazon. Boo hoo!

Oh, so sorry about that! Maybe later? It is a short book, more of a story. Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn.

Thanks, Katherine; I read Pretending to Dance before the prequel, but it doesn’t matter. Hope you enjoy it.

D. Chamberlain never seems to disappoint me.

Yes, I loved Pretending to Dance and read it before this prequel…mainly because I’d forgotten there was one!
But it didn’t matter…it could be read after PTD.
Thanks for stopping by, Rita.
