Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

A week with rain, wind, and some good reading.  Three books read and reviewed, including the one that was my First Book of 2017.  I have added TWO books to my Read the Books You Buy Challenge-2017.

Next weekend:  Mini-Bloggiesta is coming on January 14-15.  Check it out!

Thursday was my youngest grandson’s FOURTEENTH birthday.  Imagine that.  I went to dinner at their home, and his mom, my daughter, fixed all of his favorite things:  steak, mac and cheese, and Caesar salad.  I liked his favorite things, too!

Then on Friday, I had a spa day….lucky me!  A massage, a hair styling, and a radical change in color.  Check it out.  You can see it best from the back….I’m not hiding my face!  LOL.

  1. The dinner sounds delicious, I’m glad you had a nice birthday celebration with your grandson. Also, thanks for spreading the word on Bloggiesta. I really need a kick in the pants with my blog organization, although don’t I always? I hope you have a great week.

Happy birthday to your grandson!! Sounds like he had a pretty good feast. 🙂 Steak and caesar salad yum. Looks like a good quiche there at the end too lol. You know, me and the food. 🙂

the Marriage Lie looks like a good suspenser. And Missing, Presumed I saw reviewed somewhere it looks like a good one too. Hope you have a good week- it’s been snowy and cold here (around 10 degrees a couple of days). Loving winter in Michigan!!

    1. I love some good suspense books, and I am excited about them all. Thanks for stopping by, Greg, and enjoy the cold and the snow….LOL.

My grandson is seldom seen these days, mostly being in his room with his video games, so it was nice that he could join us for dinner.

  4. Oh, some nice looking books there. Keen to hear more about a couple.

I LOVE your hair – it’s gorgeous – colour and style!

And I’m off to read more about the mini bloggiesta. Am looking for some projects.

    Happy New Year! x

    1. Thanks, Deborah, it was time for a style change. Still getting used to styling it myself, though…I’m not as good as my daughter! LOL.

I’m excited about bloggiesta and my books. Glad you could stop by.

  5. Hair looking greatm spa day sounds fantastic. Great lot of books, I have the Nolfi book to read as well and have broken the drought of book buying by buying a Joanne deMaio book because so want to try her.

    1. Thanks, Emma, it was a wonderful day of being pampered…although the massage hurt a little for a while. But now I feel better! My daughter talked me into a big change with the color and style…I think I’ll enjoy it. I usually pick the creamy mac and cheese when I eat it, but her crispy version is delicious.

I am excited about the books…enjoy yours, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Deb, and I think this hair color suggestion is a hint by my daughter that I should move in the direction of the gray…LOL. But she usually doesn’t steer me wrong…so I’ll enjoy it.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Kimberly, and it is always fun to spend time with family. My daughter and grandson are now the only ones who live nearby these days. So there will be some trips in my future, I think.

Enjoy your grandkids and your books! Thanks for visiting.

    1. Ha…thanks, Aleen! I sure enjoyed the spa day and the stylin’. However, I don’t think I’d want to repeat the teen years….but life certainly looks different from their perspective, doesn’t it?

      Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks, Kathy, and I’m staying dry today by not going out…at all! Reading, movie watching, and even a nap….

I am loving The Woman in Cabin 10…and there are lots of puzzling characters. Enjoy your week.

I look especially forward to seeing what you think of Woman in Cabin 10. I have it on hold at my library, but may cave and buy a copy.

    1. I just started The Other Widow, and I’m loving it so far. It’s an easy read, not confusing. Thanks for stopping by, Elizabeth, and I think there is a different cover on The Twilight Wife.

      Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks, Carol, and the teen grandchildren are definitely easier than teen children…LOL. I now have five grandchildren who are teenagers, and two who are twenty-one!
