Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
We had some rain this week, but on other days, the sun made an appearance. Then the clouds hung overhead, like a foreshadowing of more rain to come. I stayed in most of the time, though, but only read and reviewed THREE books this week, bringing my challenge total up to SIXTEEN.
I did manage one outing on Monday to the Passport Place, at the university, where they now handle passport applications and renewals. It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years already! That day was so windy that I felt like I was flying across the parking lot.
I didn’t even connect to Netflix this week, but enjoyed the return of some of the shows I like: The Fosters, Switched at Birth, and the TGIT lineup.
So…what next? I must have done more this week, since I only read three books…but obviously the events were not that remarkable. Oh, right, I did change up the theme, background, and header here…and the header over at Serendipity. If that counts.
Grab some coffee…and a mimosa, and let’s chat.

We got a little sun but not much- but for mid- February in Michigan it’s not bad. 🙂 I didn’t watch any Netflix either, but I am watching a few non- Netflix shows so I’m not totally divorced from the screen. lol
My Husband’s Wife looks like a good thriller. And that title… has me curious. That’s a pretty good looking key lime pie lol.

Isn’t it funny how sometimes weeks are over and, whilst you don’t feel like you’ve maybe done a lot, you don’t seem to have had the free time to do things like reading either? They happen to me a lot! I like the look of My Husband’s Wife – it’s on the list but when I’ll get there to read it who knows.

After seeing the Amazon Video, Z: The Beginning of Everything, I had to get the book. I knew that more info would be in the book. I’ve also heard good things about it.

You always have such intersting books on your TBR pile. I am jealous. I think what happens to me is I have to read two books a month for book club and they are books I am not especially excited to read, usually. But then I enjoy them so I don’t mind. And as a teen librarian I feel like I should some YA. Very little time is left for just plain ol’ adult books. Some day. Some day soon.!

Our weather has been much the same. It’s sunny and warm out right now–but we’ll be getting more rain towards the end of the week. I’ve been following the news about the dam in Oroville. Scary stuff! I hope you have a great week and get in some good reading time!

It is scary when a dam overflows…I was living beneath a dam in the foothills when it overflowed (in 1997), and we had to evacuate for a few days. Luckily, no damage to my house, which was on a hill. But surreal to get that knock on the door in the middle of the night. We were all packed and ready to go, but hoping not to have to do so.
Thanks for stopping by, Wendy, and let’s hope it ends well for the Oroville folks. (I came close to living there in the 70s, but we went in another direction).
Have a great week.

Hi Laurel, I just got back from a weekend in the San Fran/San Jose area and had a wonderful time; it was clear & sunny all three days! Wahoo. Beautiful area. I love the Bay Area (except for driving in it!), and passed through there last summer on our way to Crescent City.
Today my granddaughter was visiting here, from the San Jose area. She loves it there.
I have the Kindle Paperwhite, and I love it. I’ve only had two versions, so far: the basic and this one. I am quite happy with it and hope it never dies.
My Husband’s Wife is pretty good…although the characters are pretty unlikable. That won’t bother me a lot if the plot keeps going in this same pace.
Enjoy your week, Susan.
