WEEKLY UPDATES: MORE RAINY DAYS….

Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

We are in the final days of Bloggiesta, and I am almost finished.  Click the link to see what I’ve done so far.

Today we saw rain here, although there are signs that it is clearing up.  I hope we have sunshine before next weekend, when I take my beach (wedding) trip.  I am packing, a little bit each day, and checking things off of my list.

Meanwhile, the reading this week has been good.  Three books read and reviewed, and two were review books from NetGalley.  Now I have three more on the NetGalley stack, and two author review books, all spread out over April, May…and July.  I only finished one additional book for the Read the Books You Buy Challenge, bringing the total to 28.

I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix this week, and I’m halfway through Season IV of Scandal.  In my queue is Season III of Grace and Frankie, which I hope to start watching this weekend, too.

On Sunday, I will be eager to see what is happening on Big Little Lies and The Good Fight…also Feud:  Bette and Joan.

Let’s grab some coffee, and maybe a mimosa, and chat about our weeks.

It’s been raining here all day. 😦 We had a little sun this week but now it’s gloomy again. I’m SO ready for spring and some sun that sticks around for more than a few hours.

The Secrets You Keep looks like a good one!

Netflix sounds pretty good right about now. 🙂 And I’m looking forward to the last two Big Little Lies episodes.

    1. Oh, I am so looking forward to Big Little Lies, too. And The Secrets You Keep.

Rain needs to go…and stay away!

Thanks for stopping by, Greg, and enjoy your week. I’m still binge-watching Scandal; almost at Season 5.

  2. I’ve been doing Bloggiesta too (when I can), so I’ll go check out your status. It sounds like your upcoming trip will be fabulous and I hope it is! Your new books all have some similarities in their covers, which I thought was interesting. They all look really good. Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks for visiting, Kathryn, I hope it will be good weather, too. I’m taking some layers along, just in case.

I am excited about the newest Joanne DeMaio…and I’ve enjoyed how some of the characters revisit each book.

      Enjoy your week!

I was expecting rain today, but we didn’t get any. It was for the best though, so I’m okay with that. I hope you have a wonderful beach trip next weekend and may the weather cooperate!

I am trying to remember where I left off with Scandal. I saw an episode teaser the other night and was surprised at how much I must have missed! I used to watch that show religiously, but somehow my interest wavered and I stopped watching.

I hope you have a great week, Laurel-Rain!

    1. Thanks, Wendy, I have never watched Scandal on TV…which will work out, I think, as I can just start catching up on the current season there..after I finish Season 5. I watched on Netflix all day today!

I am packing my suitcases a little at a time, filling them with stuff I don’t need every day. I am always tense about packing and planning, writing endless lists, etc. I don’t travel enough any more to make the process easy.

      Enjoy your week.

    1. Thanks, Grace, and I know what you mean about paying more…I pay for Hulu, Netflix, CBS app, and the list goes on. At some point, I may have to make different choices.

Enjoy your week and your reading…and thanks for stopping by.

    1. I am very excited about One Perfect Lie…I always enjoy this author’s books. I’m loving Big Little Lies, too. It’s great to have a Sunday night line-up that I look forward to!

Have a great week, and happy reading, Cindy.

  4. I’m trying to tackle more of my books but I’m not doing very well. All those pretty review books are distracting! Sounds like you’re doing fantastic! I love your new books this week. The two beachy covers especially are tempting. I’m ready to read books about warm places! Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Roberta, I only accept a few review books that are not from NetGalley or Vine, but I have a handful of authors whose books I always accept…and enjoy.

Have a good time “pushing” yourself for Bloggiesta. I like that feeling, too. Thanks for visiting.

  5. I have given up on Blogiestas as I never achieved my goals so glad you made progress. Is Susie Steiner the author who did Missing, Presumed? I really liked that one and so would probably love this one if that’s the case. Have a good week and enjoy your upcoming trip.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Emma, and the key to Bloggiesta (for me) is only listing tasks I can easily accomplish…and not that many. I am of the “achievable goals” school.

I must stop putting Twitter chats on my list, though…I never seem to do them. I don’t actually get the point. LOL.

Yes, the author of Missing, Presumed wrote Persons Unknown. Loved it…and I’m enjoying this one, too.

      1. No, I don’t get twitter chats either. I love twitter but also think it’s evil, sucking me in so I don’t go on it often enough to get how everything works if that makes sense. I will definitely look out for Persons Unknown now. Have a good week.

    1. I am definitely loving Feud…and also Scandal. I waited a long time to watch Scandal…until it was on Netflix, but I’m so enjoying it.

Thanks for stopping by, Yvonne, and I definitely adore all of DeMaio’s books.

  6. The Secrets You Keep looks good. We had rain here, too, but after all the snow we had dumped on us, I didn’t mind, ha ha. It sounds like you have had the perfect weather for both reading and Netfix! ARCs off the Netgalley pile is always a plus. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

    1. I don’t know about that, either, Pat. I tried deleting some of them, but that was a disaster. The images disappeared from the posts! So I’m leaving them alone.

Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by.

    1. Thanks, Kathy, I keep a list, in order of the release dates…but I have this fear of deadlines passing and leaving me behind, so I consider my behavior to be a character flaw. LOL.

I would love to be more relaxed….I can’t even take a trip without working myself into knots in the week before I leave.

      Enjoy your week!

    1. Thanks, Katrina, and when I first started NetGalley, I didn’t even realize about the percentages…Duh.

I set my DVR for Feud…and other shows I can’t miss. An OCD trait I have. Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting.

  8. The beach wedding sounds like a great place to fly off to and what fun you’ll have socializing and soaking up some rays. The first time the husband and I went to Half Moon Bay was for a belated honeymoon. I had found a terrific deal somewhere through Groupon or on Living Social that enabled us to stay at the Mill Rose Inn. We had a lovely room decorated like a cottage and received a delicious brunch every morning.

Your site is looking good Laurel. I like the changes. What or where is this beach trip you’re going on? Is the wedding going to be near the beach? Oh I don’t like packing, I always forget something. Is the wedding this coming weekend? Enjoy!
