Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.

**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.

And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.

Coming back home after the wedding weekend found me trying to get back into my routines, but not doing too well at it.  I had something scheduled every day this past week…until Thursday, when I finally settled into my reading.  I only read and reviewed TWO books this week, but they were both review books, and deadlines were looming.  Plus, they were both awesome!

I had started out the week by having lunch with an old friend at The Cheesecake Factory…and while I was waiting for her, I had this lovely drink, aptly named a Blood Orange Martini.

On Wednesday, I had a spa day, and my daughter changed up my hairstyle with what she calls an A-line cut…and then curled it.  I think I just might like it!

At night, I did some more Netflix bingeing and finished Season III of Grace and Frankie.  I love that show!

So…without further ado, let’s take a look at last week.

That was my week.  What did yours look like?  I am ready to curl up and start reading…and maybe I will also watch something more on Netflix or Amazon Prime.  I think I’ll have some more coffee, too.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Ardis, and I can’t wait to read Agnes Nixon’s book. I became addicted to soaps when I first started college, but I could only watch when I wasn’t in class…and then when VCRs and DVRs came along, I didn’t have to stop watching. Now there are only four soaps left, and even though I get annoyed with the writers and the characters at times, I love them! They feel like old friends…LOL.

  1. Greg Hill

Glad your two books were good! I’ve been reading a bit less too, but rebounded a little here over the weekend with some binge reading sessions. 🙂 And I’ve been dipping my toe back into the Netflix waters, as well.

Every Last Lie and The Perfect stranger look like nice thriller reads.

That blood orange martini looks mighty fine to me!

    Have a super week!

    1. Thanks, Greg, and I’m finding The Perfect Stranger to be a riveting read. I love how the author shows us bits and pieces of the characters by moving forward and then sweeping back, but in a smooth fashion so that it is seamless.

I am also excited about Every Last Lie.

The blood orange martini was excellent!

Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by.

    1. Thanks, Lexxie, and I do enjoy my occasional cocktails, although it looks like I enjoy them often, here on the blog…LOL.

I think I might be back to my normal….and I’m loving The Perfect Stranger, which I will finish today…if Netflix doesn’t compete too much. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Sarah, and I still have a hard time believing that my “baby,” my youngest child, is grown up and has a teenage son. He is my youngest grandchild, so now the next babies will be “great-grands,” someday. LOL.

      Enjoy your week, too!

    1. Thanks, Grace, I liked making the style change. I’m also loving The Perfect Stranger…almost finished!

I should do some housework today, to really get back to normal, but I keep putting it off. Sigh.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Emma, I didn’t have any cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory…I considered the cocktail my dessert. LOL.

I love Kubica, too, and was pleasantly surprised that I got it from NetGalley.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Yvonne, and I miss OLTL and AMC! And Guiding Light and As the World Turns…I could go on and on. LOL.

      I love Agnes Nixon’s legacy.

The martini was delicious! Thanks for stopping by, and I just finished The Perfect Stranger, which had me very twisted up until the very end.

  2. I need a haircut. I think I’ve realized that what bothers me about my hair that I keep obsessing over is that it’s the dead, undernourished parts and I just need to get a cut and get everything evened up. I hope you like yours. I’d love to see what she did. I contemplated bangs for a while, but I really think I’d hate them if I got them. You’ve had a busy week indeed! It is hard to get back into routines when you’re thrown out of whack, even for one or two days. I hope you have a great week!

  3. The Cue Card

Looks like a refreshing Martini and some good books for you too. I hope your routine will get back on track this week. Spring is busy, is it not? Enjoy your week.

  5. Glad you enjoyed your books this week. Looks like you received some other good ones too. The Bookshop at Water’s End sounds particularly interesting.
The curls look good and I like the look of the Martini too.
I hope you have a good week. Happy Reading!

  6. Oh! I have been eyeing Miss You all week, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. And I am eagerly awaiting The Perfect Strange, since I enjoyed the author’s previous book so much. Happy reading to you!

    1. For years I had very little “me time,” so I’m luxuriating in it, now. And it helps that my daughter is a stylist, at a salon with a masseur. I’m enjoying Slightly South of Simple. Thanks for stopping by, Laura, and have a great week.

    1. Thanks, Sarah, and I don’t do well posting on my smart phone, although I occasionally do comments or FB notifications. Thanks for visiting, and I am excited about The Bookshop, too. Have a great week.

  7. I would definitely try that cocktail! So pretty too. And how nice to have your own hair stylist! I should have encouraged one of my daughters (or son) to try that path, lol. I’m looking forward to reviews of the new Patti Callahan Henry book. I’ve enjoyed a few of hers.

    1. Thanks, Mary, and I started enjoying my daughter’s “path” while she was still in school, as I got free mani-pedis and hair styling back then. Actually, she still does my hair for “free,” but I do tip generously. LOL.

She has changed salons three times, and I like her current one best of all.

I am enjoying the anticipation of PCH’s book. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Kathy, and I only occasionally watched soaps before college, but during my junior and senior years, my schedule allowed time at home two days a week, and I sort of got hooked. I’m looking forward to the book. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks, Elizabeth, and as for my photo, my coffee table is like a vignette of my favorite things, including my books and my Coca Cola trays.

I am a sucker for new MHC books.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting.

    1. Thanks, Kristyn…I love it there, too, although I don’t get over there as often as I would like.

I am slowly making my way back to a routine. I plan to do some cleaning this morning..if I don’t find a reason to postpone it…LOL.

  8. Sounds like you needed a relaxing week. I didn’t get much reading and reviewing done either. Hoping to get back on track soon. I am way behind! I finished The Perfect Stranger last night, I am still conflicted about it.
