Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Coming back home after the wedding weekend found me trying to get back into my routines, but not doing too well at it. I had something scheduled every day this past week…until Thursday, when I finally settled into my reading. I only read and reviewed TWO books this week, but they were both review books, and deadlines were looming. Plus, they were both awesome!
I had started out the week by having lunch with an old friend at The Cheesecake Factory…and while I was waiting for her, I had this lovely drink, aptly named a Blood Orange Martini.
***
On Wednesday, I had a spa day, and my daughter changed up my hairstyle with what she calls an A-line cut…and then curled it. I think I just might like it!
At night, I did some more Netflix bingeing and finished Season III of Grace and Frankie. I love that show!
So…without further ado, let’s take a look at last week.

Agnes Nixon was the queen of Daytime television and responsible for so many great Soaps! I have many great memories of getting totally addicted to those shows over the summer, and then going through withdrawals once school started up again. Have a wonderful week.

Thanks for visiting, Ardis, and I can’t wait to read Agnes Nixon’s book. I became addicted to soaps when I first started college, but I could only watch when I wasn’t in class…and then when VCRs and DVRs came along, I didn’t have to stop watching. Now there are only four soaps left, and even though I get annoyed with the writers and the characters at times, I love them! They feel like old friends…LOL.

Glad your two books were good! I’ve been reading a bit less too, but rebounded a little here over the weekend with some binge reading sessions. 🙂 And I’ve been dipping my toe back into the Netflix waters, as well.
Every Last Lie and The Perfect stranger look like nice thriller reads.
That blood orange martini looks mighty fine to me!
Have a super week!

Thanks, Greg, and I’m finding The Perfect Stranger to be a riveting read. I love how the author shows us bits and pieces of the characters by moving forward and then sweeping back, but in a smooth fashion so that it is seamless.
I am also excited about Every Last Lie.
The blood orange martini was excellent!
Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by.

I started a few books last week and didn’t finish any of them. Thankfully I didn’t have any reviews due but I also need to finish something.

I think I might be back to my normal….and I’m loving The Perfect Stranger, which I will finish today…if Netflix doesn’t compete too much. Have a great week!

Patti Callahan Henry’s book looks really interesting, I did put a request in for it but most likely won’t get it as I might be out of area for it. Will read it anyway at some point.

Thanks, Kathryn, and that happens to me with some books, too…and then I end up buying them. But whenever possible, I like getting them for review. Enjoy! Thanks for visiting.

Yes… after a major event it sometimes take a while to come back down to Planet Earth. The wedding was lovely – she is a beautiful woman and your grandson looks a sweetheart:). In the meantime, have a great week getting in touch with your reading, again. My Sunday Post –

I need a haircut. I think I’ve realized that what bothers me about my hair that I keep obsessing over is that it’s the dead, undernourished parts and I just need to get a cut and get everything evened up. I hope you like yours. I’d love to see what she did. I contemplated bangs for a while, but I really think I’d hate them if I got them. You’ve had a busy week indeed! It is hard to get back into routines when you’re thrown out of whack, even for one or two days. I hope you have a great week!

Thanks, Mary, and I started enjoying my daughter’s “path” while she was still in school, as I got free mani-pedis and hair styling back then. Actually, she still does my hair for “free,” but I do tip generously. LOL.
She has changed salons three times, and I like her current one best of all.
I am enjoying the anticipation of PCH’s book. Have a great week!
