Today I’m participating in WWW Wednesdays, at Taking on a World of Words. Here’s how it works:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?
***
CURRENTLY READING:
Not Here (e-book), by Genevieve Nocovo (an Author Review Book): A city in turmoil. A neighbor disappears. When her concerns are written off, Dina investigates on her own — and becomes a target, at the mercy of those in control…
***
BOOKS FINISHED SINCE LAST WEEK: (Click Title/Cover for My Reviews)
The Best of Us (e-book), by Robyn Carr
Daisy Jones & the Six (e-book), by Taylor Jenkins Reid (NG-3/5)
***
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:
The Perfect Wife (e-book), by J.P. Delaney (NG – 8/6/19) – I downloaded this ARC today, and I can’t wait to read it. But since it won’t be released until August, I’ll be waiting until July…probably.
Synopsis: A missing woman receives a second chance at life, thanks to her billionaire husband–but the consequences are deadly in this gripping psychological thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of The Girl Before.
Abbie awakens in a daze with no memory of who she is or how she landed in this unsettling condition. The man by her side claims to be her husband. He’s an icon of the tech world, the founder of a lucrative robotics company. He tells Abbie that she is a gifted artist, an avid surfer, a loving mother to their young son, and the perfect wife. He says she had a terrible accident five years ago, and that, through a huge technological breakthrough, she has been brought back from the abyss. She is a miracle of science.
But as Abbie pieces together memories of her marriage, she begins questioning her husband’s motives—and his version of events. Can she trust him when he says he wants them to be together forever? And what really happened to Abbie half a decade ago?

That was my week. What did yours look like?

The Perfect Wife looks good; I read Believe Me by J.P. Delaney and thought it was a great (if slightly flawed) read!

Thanks, Cathy, but I also have several other ARCs to read in March and April…so it’s more about trying to stay afloat with all the ARCs. LOL. Enjoy your books!

Now that I can identify with! I’m still trying to clear books from my NetGalley shelf that published in January and hang on to my 80% feedback ratio.

I can’t believe you’re waiting until JULY to read The Perfect Wife. Right now, I can’t wait (even though I’ll have to) to get my hands on that innocent cover and dark story inside. Hope you enjoy the rest of your books!

Thanks, JR, but, as I mentioned in the comment above, I have several more ARCs to read for March and April before I can start on the summer books. Then I may pick this one up…and just write the review without posting it. I have to write my reviews immediately afterwards, or I would get behind on those.
Yeah, a quirk of mine. Enjoy your books!

I loved Daisy Jones & the Six; it left me crying with the ending. I also just got The Perfect Wife and plan on waiting until July (maybe June) to read it too! I just have too many ARCS between now and May to read it sooner. I would love to read it sooner though! Enjoy your books! 🙂

Thanks, Stephanie, I tend to wait as long as possible to read my ARCs, as I like posting my review as soon as I finish.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, too.

You’re welcome! I tend to wait and read them close to their publication date, but I am terrible about writing my reviews right away. I just keep reading so right now I’m in a mess and have 11 ARC reviews that have to be written in the next week for books releasing between next week and the end of March. Ugh, I hope I don’t do this again! Thank you…now I just need to review it, lol.

It is truly sad that my TBR list is so out of hand that I have books by some of your authors still waiting and they have published a second book! I STILL need to read the Seven Husbands… Great list! Thanks for visit my blog!

Thanks, Molly, but the good news: the books will be waiting for you! That’s how I justify buying so many books before reading all the ones I already have. Enjoy!
