CURLED UP WITH BOOKS ON A HUMP DAY…

Today I’m participating in WWW Wednesdays, at Taking on a World of Words Here’s how it works:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

CURRENTLY READING:  American Dirt, by Jeanine Cummins

Already being hailed as “a Grapes of Wrath for our times” and “a new American classic,” Jeanine Cummins’s American Dirt is a rare exploration into the inner hearts of people willing to sacrifice everything for a glimmer of hope.

I’m enjoying it!  I’m also moving along on Becoming, by Michelle Obama…

BOOKS READ SINCE LAST WEEK:

Deep State, by Chris Hauty

***

Losing You, by Nicci French

EAGERLY ANTICIPATING:  I am eager to read my newest ARC, a book that will be released on 9/15/20:

Don’t Look for Me, by Wendy Walker

Synopsis:  The greatest risk isn’t running away.
It’s running out of time.

The car abandoned miles from home.

The note found at a nearby hotel.

The shattered family that couldn’t be put back together.

They called it a “walk away.”

It happens all the time.

Women disappear, desperate to leave their lives behind and start over.

But is that what really happened to Molly Clarke?

Don’t Look For Me is:

“GRIPPING…WITH UNEXPECTED TWISTS…
You’ve got a cracking mystery on your hands.”

That was my week…I only finished two books, but the ones I am reading are really good.  What did your week look like?

  1. I think I would like American Dirt – I’m going to look for it. And I read my first Nicci French (Blue Monday) last year. I wasn’t sure about a husband/wife author team, but I thought it was excellent. And of course, I will definitely read Becoming. Great post!
