Good morning! Today’s post will link up to The Sunday Salon, The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves, for weekly updates.
**Mailbox Monday is hosted at the home site: Mailbox Monday.
And let’s join Kathryn, our leader in It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?, at Book Date.
Another week slid by while I wasn’t even doing all that much. But here we are, ready to total up the memorable moments. I did read and review THREE books this week. Two were review books: one an author review request, and the other from NetGalley. I read one book from my own purchases, bringing my Read the Books You Buy Challenge total to 29 books!
I started watching another show on Netflix: 13 Reasons Why. Has anyone else seen it? On regular TV, I’m watching Season III of Better Call Saul. After having binge-watched five seasons of Scandal on Netflix, I’m now enjoying Season 6 on ABC.
This weekend, I plan to scroll through titles on Amazon Prime Videos…and some more on Netflix. And I’ll read some, too.
For fun, my daughter shared some photos: On the left: Heather at fourteen next to a photo of her son Noah at fourteen:
They do seem to be related…LOL. My eldest son had fun playing with Photoshop, and put a fringe and long hair on Noah’s photo (below), after which he apologized to Noah profusely:
As you can tell, we have a quirky sense of humor in our family.
Now…let’s take a look at last week:

Noah and your daughter do look so alike. Strong genes! I could not get into Scandal. It could have been just the day I chose to start it. I guess I should try again. I am currently waiting on the next season of How to Get Away with Murder. I love it. Currently watching Midsomer Murders on Netflix and The Good Wife and Golden Girls on Hulu. I also need to go through those two and Amazon Prime listings to get myself some good lists so I’m not floundering around forever trying to find something. Happy reading and have a fantastic Easter!

Thanks, Charlie, and those genes are definitely dominant ones…they are a mix of both sides of the family.
I didn’t like Scandal at first, but then when I started binge-watching it on Netflix, I got hooked.
I was a big fan of The Good Wife…and I’m now enjoying The Good Fight, with some of the characters from TGW…on CBS: All Access.
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Sunday! I watched 13 Reasons Why as well (just finished last night) and loved it- although it was harrowing at times. How far along are you? Oh and do you ever just wish Clay would listen to all the tapes ASAP? Ha ha instead of stringing it along. But I really did like this show…
Love the look of the books. The Night The Lights Went Out, The Dark Flood Rises and The secrets You Keep all look great.
Soup and crusty bread- yum.

Yes, it was frustrating that Clay kept procrastinating….but we did get to see some back and forth in Hannah’s life and with her friends. I’m on Episode 4.
I keep going between shows. Tonight I watched an episode of a show called Hinterland that sort of kept me engaged.
I’m excited about my new books, too, and I’m also enjoying The Widow’s House.
Have a great week, and thanks for visiting, Greg. And I excuse the carbs of the bread by eating soup…lol.

Yes… the family resemblance is certainly striking. Hm – I’m guessing your son isn’t Noah’s favourite uncle any more – hopefully his school friends don’t frequent your site! I LOVE the cover of The Widow of Wall Street. Hope you have a good week, Laurel:). My Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/04/16/sunday-post-16th-april-2017/

Ha, I think Noah adores Uncle Craig enough to forgive him…hopefully! Craig was just going to talk about doing it, but my daughter egged him on. So it’s on her, too. LOL.
I love the cover of The Widow on Wall Street, too, and I seem to follow trends with titles. I just finished The Widower’s Wife and I’m reading The Widow’s House. Last year, it was titles with the word “girl” or “girls.”
Enjoy your week, Sarah, and thanks for visiting.

Oh, that’s okay then:). He looks a lovely-natured boy – I thought when I saw your beautiful wedding pics. Yes… it’s odd how a slew of books come out with similar titles – I recall at the start of last year there were a whole bunch of books with BONE in the title.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy Almost Missed You….sometimes we just connect with certain books, and others, not so much.
I am excited about the Karen White and all of the new books (and older ones). I feel fortunate to have so many lovely books at my fingertips on Pippa. The other day, Pippa started behaving oddly…shutting down for no reason. But then she corrected herself….fingers crossed.

Oh boy that soup looks good. I like comfort food. Our ribs were amazing yesterday. Bones either slipped out when I was cutting up the slab or meat was breaking off; that’s how tender the baby backs were. Love the photo humor. What did you think of 13 Reasons Why? I haven’t seen it or read the book, but I know it’s getting quite a bit of press lately. I read an article by a mother concerned about the suicide-revenge message her son picked up on watching it. Another person said she didn’t feel it portrayed it that way at all. So, definitely a discussion worthy show from the sounds of it. I would like to see it at some point.
The Night the Lights Went Out and The Dark Flood Rises both sound really good! I hope you enjoy them. I have a copy of The White’s book and am looking forward to it.
I hope you are having a great week, Laurel-Rain!
